CAREERS AT CURIOUS BREWERY
ARE YOU LOOKING TO JOIN A DEDICATED TEAM WHERE FLAVOUR, PASSION AND CREATIVITY ARE AT ITS HEART? THEN CURIOUS BREWERY COULD BE THE PLACE FOR YOU.
ROLE: PACKAGING OPERATOR / LEAD OPERATOR
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and curious individual to join our packaging team.
Based at our brewery in Ashford, we operate shifts Monday to Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 22:00 p.m. and can offer 40+ hours per week on average.
The Key Responsibilities:
You will start as part of our bottling & canning team producing our products, and contract-brewed products on our 800 bottle-per-hour and 3,600 can-per-hour production lines while monitoring labelling, filling, capping, packaging cases, and palletising while performing quality and performance checks throughout.
You will also work on our kegging line which produces forty 30-litre kegs per hour from loading empty kegs on to palletising filled kegs while ensuring that quality and consistency is maintained.
Other responsibilities include helping our brewing or cellaring team with all aspects of production, assisting with warehousing and distribution, and general good hygiene and housekeeping around the brewery.
You’ll be someone confident, motivated, and willing to learn about producing the beer and cider which is at the heart what we do. If you’re passionate about beer or cider (or think you might be!), we can help you learn the rest.
We are looking for someone who is focused and has an eye for problem solving. Previous experience in food production, food service, warehousing, or manufacturing sectors is a bonus. Above all, we believe that good communication is what makes a workday go smoothly.
We are looking to fill multiple operator roles. Additionally, we are looking for a lead operator who will help train, supervise, problem solve, and maintain the lines to ensure peak performance and quality. A lead operator should have previous experience on bottling/canning lines, preferably within the beer or soft drinks sector.
What We Offer:
We will help you develop into a core member of our packaging team with development into brewing and processing over time.
On top of this, we also offer enrollment into accredited training courses in brewing, beer serving, packaging, health and safety, forklift driving, first aid, and can find courses to suit whatever skills you are curious about and the business needs.
We also offer 28 days holiday, paid breaks, a 25% discount in our restaurant and bar, enrolment in our pension scheme, and we always enjoy a few beers after work or to take home!
